is not just a part of my art, she embodies the core idea of my practice.
Everyday life is a construct we create,
a desperate attempt to gain some sense of control
and shield ourselves from negative emotions such as fear, sadness, and shame.
Within this, our home becomes a dollhouse,
where we play pretend to ourselves and each other that everything is fine,
when in reality,
nothing is fine.
